A BIRTHDAY LETTER TO MY LIFE TIME COMPANION

How can I say goodbye and walk away without shedding a tear…

To easily slip my hand away from yours without my emotions denying me to do so,

How can I Love you a lil less, [for my sanity]

Maybe I could sleep at night

Maybe I would notice that the flowers are blooming

Maybe I’d spend some time and listen to the birds singing…

And I’d even know what season we are on…

But all of that doesn’t matter now,

I have your name permanently engraved in my heart…

I know without a doubt in my heart that this is Love,

And you are the only person I want to share it with

Today may be the first birthday celebration we are celebrating together,
